Moving scam mastermind Serghei Verlan jailed in Butler County, officials say

Federal officials say they have arrested one of the masterminds behind a moving company scam accused of ripping off more than 900 people across the county, including over 100 in West Chester. Now that Serghei Verlan is in the Butler County jail, one of his alleged victims talked to 9 On Your Side Sunday. “Anytime a mover asks you for money up front, run,” advised Jeanne Porter.
