People driving by have called Altius Farms wondering about the greenhouse at 25th and Lawrence. It’s a high-tech urban farm that’s supplying local restaurants and stores with fresh produce. The 8,000 square-foot greenhouse uses a vertical aeroponic growing system. It is the highest elevation farm of its kind in the U.S. and one of the largest. The growing system uses only 10% of the water and 10% of the land compared to conventional farming but can produce 10 times more product.
