Three Buffalo police involved shootings since July

A suspect is in surgery following an officer-involved shooting in Buffalo. Buffalo police said security from the Wegmans on Amherst Street reported a shoplifter at 11:20 p.m. Tuesday. An on-duty lieutenant who happened to be in the store was informed the suspect had ran. There is no known video of Wednesday's Buffalo police involved shooting on Gladstone Street. This shooting, however, is the third Buffalo police involved shooting this year. In September, Rafael Rivera was shot and killed by a Buffalo police officer on the city's West Side. Charges were never filed against the officer involved, because the Erie County DA said it was a justified shooting.
