Activist Olympian Tommie Smith fights for a new cause

Tommie Smith made history with a gesture in 1968, when he raised a single black-gloved fist on the Olympic podium after placing first in the 200-meter race. He visited Cincinnati tonight to continue his fight for racial equality on a new front: Infant mortality. Black babies in Ohio are three times more likely than white to die before their first birthday, and no one knows why.
