Suspect in hazmat situation faces five criminal charges
Nearly 3 weeks after a hazmat team was called to a man's home, charges now say he planned to make meth. Michael Anderson has five criminal charges against him, three of which are felonies. According to court documents, police responded to a domestic disturbance between Anderson and his girlfriend, Jennifer Gross. This happened after Gross apparently jumped out of a car and ran into their home. Court documents say police entered the home in search of Gross, which led them to Anderson and a stash of chemicals, as well as a weapon in the basement. Police then called in a hazmat team. According to court documents, Anderson is accused of possessing these chemicals with intent to make meth, being a felon in possession of a firearm, and intimidating a victim in a domestic abuse case. Court documents say he's also charged with two misdemeanors of disorderly conduct and criminal damage to property in a case of domestic abuse as a repeat offender. The bond for Anderson remains set at $25,000 and his next court date is set for December 19th.
