Michael Fish's NBC26 Storm Shield weather forecast
Some sunshine with less wind is in the forecast for today, though you may notice some high clouds on the increase through the afternoon. Highs will top out around 30. The evening commute should be fine on tonight, but it's looking more and more like some light snow will develop overnight into Thursday. There could be a little light accumulation on the roads for Thursday morning's commute. Wind will NOT be a problem with this system. Overnight lows will be in the low-20s. We will have some light snow or possibly a little wintry mix on Thursday. It's looking like this will only total a trace-1" so this will not be anything major. Highs will be in the low/mid-30s so salt should work fine. There may be a patch or two of freezing drizzle Thursday evening, though most of the night should stay dry with milder lows in the mid-20s. Friday looks find with partly to mostly cloudy skies and highs in the upper-30s. Milder weather arrives over the weekend with the chance of rain/snow mainly on Saturday and Saturday night, but the forecast picture isn't clear yet with this. Either way highs will top out near 40 on both days, but it probably will be windy.
