2007 Dodge Dakota Replacing a Bumper

I replace a rusted out rear bumper on a 2007 Dodge Dakota. The bumper was unsightly and metallurgically unsound from a safety standpoint. Plus, most importantly, my wife wanted it done.

It should have taken about half an hour, but issues arose from the ball hitch on the bumper. Someone had put a Reese hitch on and did not remove the ball hitch before they installed the hitch. So I couldn't get to the nut on the underside of the ball without taking the hitch off first. So I did what i could and eventually came up with a plan to remove it.

This is what happens when you go to replace items, or at least this is what happens to me. It seems all I am doing now is working on vehicles. I also had some good help from my German Shepherd - Eva.

As always, please enjoy things In My Purview!
