On March 15, 2025, President Donald Trump made a proclamation invoking the Alien Enemies Act of 1798 against members of Tren de Aragua, a Venezuelan Gang that has also been designated a Foreign Terrorist Organization. Under the act, the President can order that all alien enemies over the age of 14 to be apprehended, restrained, secured, and removed from the United States.

Since that proclamation, a lawsuit was filed in D.C. District Court that also sought a TRO to stop this the deportations.

You can guess what happened next.
