Second Week of Lent (Year B) is Luke 6:36-38

“O Jesus, today’s Gospel bids us, ‘Be merciful, as your Father is merciful,’ a call to mirror His boundless heart. Bishop Sheen thundered, ‘God’s mercy is a river—drown thy grudges in it!’ In Daniel, we cry, ‘O Lord, great and awesome, we have sinned,’ yet Thou keepest covenant with the contrite. St. Charbel, who bore mercy in silence, bids you forgive one who hath vexed you today. The Lord saith, ‘Judge not, and you shall not be judged’—for every measure you give returns to you. On this Lenten morn, lift your eyes from anger, for Thou, O Lord, dost pour grace unstinted. Let your mercy flow free, and find His peace in thy soul’s deep well.”
