Rep. Jordan: FISA Court Judge Who Enabled FBI Corruption Now Shields Violent Illegal Immigrants

D.C. (Dist. of Criminals), March 16, 2025 — A federal judge has blocked President Trump’s use of the 18th Century Alien Enemies Act, halting the swift deportation of alleged Venezuelan gang members. The ruling ordered all flights en route to Venezuela to turn around and bring gang members back to the U.S., despite the administration’s push for rapid removals.

The decision, issued by Judge James Boasberg, has drawn immediate backlash, particularly given his past leniency toward FBI lawyer Kevin Clinesmith, who altered evidence in the Trump-Russia collusion case and received a mere slap on the wrist. Representative Jim Jordan called the ruling “ridiculous” and a clear example of judicial resistance to Trump’s lawful executive authority.

Judicial Overreach in Action
Jordan slammed Boasberg for prioritizing criminals over national security, arguing that Article II, Section 1 of the Constitution grants the president sole executive authority over immigration enforcement.

“This judge says don’t send the hardened criminals back—bring them back into our country instead,” Jordan said. “He’s the same judge who protected a corrupt FBI lawyer who falsified FISA documents, and now he’s undermining the president’s authority to deport dangerous gang members.”

FISA Court Ties & Past Controversies
Boasberg’s history raises red flags, Jordan noted, as he presided over the FISA court that approved fraudulent warrants to spy on the Trump campaign. The judge’s leniency toward Clinesmith, who manipulated evidence in the Carter Page case, suggests a pattern of decisions that align with the anti-Trump legal apparatus.

“This is the judge who let a deep-state operative walk free after falsifying documents used to justify spying on Trump,” Jordan added. “Now, he’s overriding the president’s clear legal authority to secure our borders.”

Congress Takes Action
In response to such judicial overreach, House Republicans have advanced legislation limiting the power of federal district judges. Jordan emphasized that rulings should only apply to the respective jurisdiction, not have nationwide implications.

“The American people are fed up with judges acting as unelected policymakers, undermining national security, and prioritizing criminals over law-abiding citizens,” Jordan said. “We will continue fighting against activist judges who interfere with lawful executive action.”

With violent criminals now ordered back to the U.S. instead of being deported, the fight over judicial obstruction of Trump’s policies is set to escalate as the administration prepares for the next legal battle.
