Defeat the British Empire Before It Destroys You

The world has reason to be cautiously optimistic about the prospect for peace in Ukraine. The last few weeks of dialogue initiated by the Trump Administration have been historic, reversing the deluded policies of the “Collective Biden” Administration which had put us on the brink of World War III with Russia. There is a great gnashing of teeth, however, on the part of the City of London to the prospect of peace breaking out. The obvious reactions, such as from Keir Starmer and Emmanuel Macron, have been thorns sabotaging a potential rapprochement between the U.S. and Russia.  Now look at what those very same individuals are saying today, that they support a potential 30-day “ceasefire” in Ukraine, and that the ball is now in Russia’s court to accept the agreement (which does not address the long-term security concerns Russia has repeatedly asked for.) 

People should not be fooled by this sophistry. The Russian Foreign Intelligence Service (SVR) wrote on March 10, that the British see U.S.-Russia dialogue as a “threat to its interests” which, if not stopped, will “lead to the failure of the British strategy of ‘containing’ Moscow.” It concludes: “As we can see, London today, just as it did on the eve of both world wars of the last century, acts as the main ‘instigator’ of the global conflict. … It’s time to expose them and send a clear message to the treacherous Albion and its elites: you’re not going to succeed.” 

What the British absolutely fear is losing their control over U.S. foreign policy, along with the wedge they have driven between the U.S. and Russia since the start of the Cold War in 1945. President Franklin Roosevelt, towards the end of the Second World War before his death, had conceived of the United Nations as an international body where the U.S., Russia, China, and the Global South would work to undo the destruction caused by British imperialist policies. As articulated in his State of the Union address on January 6, 1941, “freedom from want” must be the condition of all people, “everyone where in the world.” Had Roosevelt lived, that mission may have been fulfilled.

The promising developments towards peace with Russia must be the first step towards a new quality of relations with all other nations, one which considers the interests and development of mankind, and promises what FDR fought for towards the last years of his presidency. The British Empire, and its financial center known as the “City of London,” must be defeated once and for all, for the sake of the Global Majority.
