Welcome to my review and demonstration of the Crazy Tube Circuits Venus.
The Crazy Tube Circuits Venus is a real tube overdrive inspired by all the pedal and rack
versions of the BK Butler/Chandler Tube Driver, generating anything
from a smooth, light overdrive tone to a high-gain nasty distortion.
The various versions of the original BK Butler Tube Driver have been
used by guitarists such as Eric Johnson (used on albums like “Ah Via
Musicom”, “Venus Isle”, etc.), David Gilmour (on Pink Floyd’s “Division
Bell”, “Pulse” and later solo albums), Joe Satriani (“Surfing With The
Alien”), J Mascis, Billy Gibbons, Joe Bonamassa, and many others.
