As we enter a new month, we will be diving into the seasonality of March and how it relates to the stock market. We will be referencing an article by Investopedia, featuring a seasonality chart that shows the historical performance of the market in March.

Looking at the chart, we can see that March tends to be a positive month for the markets, with an average historical return of 6% going back to 1928. Even in more recent years, during the year 2000, the average return is still a positive 1.46%. This makes March a great month for investors as it marks the start of a rebound from the typically negative month of February.

Discussing the current state of the market, we can see that we are currently in a downtrend, marked by fear and extreme fear. However, we have to keep in mind that March is usually a positive month, so be prepared with your shopping list ready for potential buying opportunities once we reach the market bottom.

Taking a closer look at February 2025, we can see that it performed as expected, with all major indices on Investing.com reporting negative one-month performance.
