The farewell ceremony was attended by the Chairman of the Board of Directors of Ethiopian Airlines Group, Honorable Lieutenant General Yilma Merdasa, Board members, Ethiopian Airlines Group CEO Ato Mesfin Tassew and senior management of Ethiopian Airlines.
In his message at the event, Ethiopian Airlines Group CEO Ato Mesfin Tassew thanked the Honorable President for his contribution as a Board Member to ensure that the airline continues to strengthen its continental leadership and global competitiveness and remains a symbol of strength, growth and new achievements.
Similarly, the State Minister of Trade and Regional Cooperation, Honorable Yasmin Wehabrebi, who was serving as a Board Member of the airline, was dismissed from her position.

Ethiopian Airlines held an Iftar program at the Ethiopian Skylight Hotel to mark the holy month of Ramadan.

The Iftar program was attended by His Excellency Sheikh Abdulaziz Abdulwole, Vice President of the Ethiopian Islamic Affairs Council, His Excellency Dr. Sheikh Sultan Aman Eba, President of the Addis Ababa City Islamic Affairs High Council, Ministers, Ambassadors, Ethiopian Airlines Chief Commercial Officer Ato Lemma Yadecha, members of the airline’s management and invited guests.

In addition to organizing the annual Iftar program, Ethiopian Airlines has been fulfilling its national responsibility to the best of its ability by arranging numerous flights and staff to transport Hajj pilgrims to Saudi Arabia, setting up a terminal with a prayer room and a landing area exclusively for Hajj pilgrims, handing over religious books forgotten by passengers to the Supreme Council for Islamic Affairs of Ethiopia through the Ethiopian Airlines Foundation at various times and under various circumstances, and providing various related services.
