Die Hard Arcade was released for the Sega Saturn in 1996 and was the first beat ‘em up to use texture-mapped 3D polygon graphics.

Originally developed as an arcade game by Sega AM1 and released as Dynamite Deka in Japan, the game follows a similar premise to the movie but features original characters and story elements. Players control either John McClane or his partner, Kris Thompsen, as they fight their way through a high-rise building to rescue the President's kidnapped daughter from a group of terrorists.

The gameplay combines side-scrolling brawler mechanics with interactive quick-time events and a variety of weapons, from firearms to everyday objects like chairs and brooms. The game is known for its fast-paced action, exaggerated animations, and cooperative multiplayer mode.
