A ‘RESET’ ON THE BUDGET IS A GOOD THING
We need a government shutdown to get our heads straight.

#1. Remember this ‘partial government shutdown’ is what it says,
“Partial.”

#2. It doesn’t affect Military, Social Security, and all essential government.

#3. It mostly affects those ‘less than essential’ arms of government, and that’s probably a good thing.

#4. Chuck Schumer announced most Senate Democrats won’t support the GOP-passed bill, which will fund the government until the end of September.

#5. This all but guarantees a partial shutdown beginning at 11:59 p.m. Friday.

#6. Schumer, of course, is blaming the Republicans for not following his own personal recommendations. How Democrat!

#7. The Democrat presence in the Senate is sufficient to scuttle the bill.

#8. Speaker Mike announced that Congress is on vacation until
March 24th. This leaves it up to Schumer whether or not he wants to capitulate or be responsible for a partial government shutdown which will not bode well for Democrats.

#9. This will be 11th partial government shutdown since 1980. No disaster. The world will continue to spin, people will eat, and the lights will stay on.

#10. Liberals point out the current fight is the last big chance for Democrats to get concessions from Republicans until the fall, when the fiscal year 2026 appropriations process begins.

It means, “Go ahead and shut it down. You’ve done it before, and we can do it again. The flag is still flying, our military remains on patrol, our retirement checks continue to go out, and all essential elements of government will go on.”
