Such as…

• Titanium Dioxide: linked to DNA damage and Cancer is banned in the EU, but it’s in our children’s food.

• Potassium Bromate: a carcinogen (cancer) banned in EU and Japan, but it’s in our children’s food and bread

• Food dyes (Red #40, Yellow #5 & 6) are linked to behavioral +other issues in children. In the EU, it comes with a warning label, but in the US, it’s safe for children

🔴 HISTORY
In 1958, the U.S Government created the designation “Generally Recognized as Safe” or GRAS, so we can make common ingredients like salt or baking soda exempt from testing.

But GRAS has been widely abused by food companies and cooperative legislators regulators are now determining if a substance is safe.

In European nations, EVERY ingredient is required to be proven safe before becoming a food ingredient.
—— in America, it’s just the opposite, and food ingredients are not deemed unsafe until after millions of Americans are harmed.

We now have over 10,000 ingredients in our food, in Europe 400.

🔴 ACTIONS BEING TAKEN

He directs the FDA commissioner to start the process of changing the rules to eliminate the self-affirmed GRAS pathway for new ingredients.

And conduct and improve post-market assessments of GRAS chemicals currently in our food so we can rapidly identify the compounds that are making Americans so sick.
