A Request for Elon Musk, and DOGE

Oh Elon, you cost-cutting sociopath.

You call MacKenzie Scott’s philanthropy, “concerning,” and say empathy has been “weaponized.”

You take multi-million dollar contracts from the government that benefit you, while cutting jobs using a chainsaw as a metaphor for the lack of specificity with which you do so.

If only one could wave a magic wand, making only those who voted for such nonsense the subject of your harm.

Oh well.

Anyway, if you really want to cut costs, how about looking into the federal highway system?

The idea we block off 10 miles of road for zero construction is absurd, as is the fact that it’s usually huge swaths of cones and slowdown for a minimal amount of work actually being done.

I’m not saying we shouldn’t reduce speed where workers are present, no.

But if they’re working on a mile of road, then they get to cone off a mile before their work, and a half-mile after.

I mean, come on…

Why is there an extra several miles of slowdown after the construction zone is technically over?
