CPS STRIKES NOT ONCE, BUT TWICE! (Update) w/ Corporate Lawyer & Survivor - Heather Daly

Heather Daly was a corporate lawyer who was raising her two nieces when the family policing system took both of them from her when they were teenagers without due process and with no safety concern at all. Both girls were abused in state custody, and one of them has been missing from state custody since 2020. The other returned home as an adult, but the family policing system has now wrongfully taken custody of her three disabled children, which makes this the second generation of children in the Daly family that the family policing system has abducted. As a result of her own experiences, Heather has focused on using her skills as a lawyer to help parents and relative caregivers caught up in the broken child welfare and juvenile court systems.

While representing parents and relative caregivers in the juvenile court system, Heather has seen countless instances of violations of family constitutional rights by CPS, judicial canon violations, and ethical violations by counsel and CPS-adjacent providers. Heather was frustrated that no one was ever held accountable for these violations while caregivers are held to impossible accountability standards without any help at all from the agency tasked with supporting families and while children suffer from a lack of critical family bonds and from a lack of proper care and safety in state custody. This led her to Rescue the Fosters where she wants to help stop this illegal and immoral treatment of families and children by the family policing system and reunite families. She wants to lift up the voices of families who have suffered tremendously at the hands of these systems in hopes of finding justice for them and in hopes of preventing this from happening to any other families.
