Mother and daughter killed in Oshawa house fire, two others hospitalized

A house fire in Oshawa, east of Toronto, has claimed the lives of a 46-year-old woman and her 9-year-old daughter on Wednesday.

Emergency crews pulled three victims from the home, with a 12-year-old girl and a 56-year-old man, believed to be the father, rushed to the hospital.

Their conditions remain unknown. Firefighters responded just after 8 a.m. and battled the flames into the afternoon as officials continue to investigate the cause of the blaze.
