Comedian and actress Rosie O'Donnell, known for her outspoken opposition to Donald Trump, has made good on her promise to leave the United States after his election as president. O'Donnell, who has been one of the most critical voices against Trump and his administration, has decided to move to Ireland, citing concerns about equal rights in the country.

“I never thought I would move to another country. When it is safe to have equal rights in the United States ... we will consider moving back,” O'Donnell stated.

The actress has been a recurring figure in U.S. political discourse, using her platform to criticize Trump and his policies. Her departure has generated mixed reactions, with some of her followers supporting her decision, while others consider it an exaggeration based on her personal animosity towards the former president.

Meanwhile, conservative figures have pointed to his decision as yet another example of so-called “Trump Derangement Syndrome” (TDS), arguing that his reaction is a display of unwarranted hysteria on the left in the face of Trump's presidency.

O'Donnell joins a list of celebrities who once promised to leave the U.S. if Trump won the election, though many of them ultimately failed to keep their word. With her move to Ireland, the actress appears to have taken a more definitive stance in her rejection of Republican leadership.
