Chain Snatching Incident Caught on CCTV in Kukatpally

Hyderabad: A chain snatching incident was reported early this morning at KPHB in Kukatpally, with the crime caught on CCTV.

According to police, the incident occurred near the Temple bus stop when a woman, identified as Anjali (50), was entering her house after drawing rangoli outside. A man posing as someone in need of drinking water followed her inside and suddenly snatched a one-tola (10 grams) gold chain from her neck before fleeing the scene. At the time of the incident, Anjali’s husband had stepped out to buy milk, said KPHB Inspector.

The police have launched an investigation and are analyzing CCTV footage to identify and apprehend the suspect. Authorities have urged residents to remain cautious while assisting strangers and to report any suspicious activity immediately.
