David Hogg, an activist and gun control advocate, has become one of the most controversial figures in the progressive movement in the United States. Hogg, who was born on 12 April 2000, survived the shooting at Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland, Florida, on 14 February 2018. Since then, he has used his platform to promote policies that are considered a direct attack on the Second Amendment and the constitutional rights of citizens.

As a founding member of the Never Again MSD movement, Hogg has led numerous protests, marches and boycotts targeting businesses and politicians who defend citizens' right to own firearms. His activism has been widely endorsed by mainstream media and Democratic Party figures, allowing him to amplify his message and make it a piece of the progressive agenda.
