Excessive Force Used Against Immigrants on Their Way to Court?🤔

On March 10, 2025, at 9:00 AM, a disturbing incident unfolded in the Spokane Valley/City area near 1st Ave and Havana. A family of immigrants, on their way to a court hearing, was surrounded by two unmarked trucks. The vehicles were operated by Customs Enforcement Agents (ICE).

The passengers, aware of their rights, began recording the encounter and asked the agents for a warrant. The agents refused to provide one and demanded the family exit their vehicle. When they refused, the agents escalated the situation by smashing the car windows and forcefully dragging the family out of the car. This brutal display of excessive force left the family terrified and traumatized.

This incident highlights the urgent need for accountability and respect for human rights, regardless of immigration status. Everyone deserves the right to defend their case in court without fear of violence or intimidation.

The incident has been reported to WAISN (Washington Immigrant Solidarity Network), NWIRP (Northwest Immigrant Rights Project), and ACLU-WA (American Civil Liberties Union of Washington).
