Welcome to Cherokee Ruby mine. Where you can find gem quality rubies, Safire and citrine.Day three of our Epic journey to VanFest in Florida, starts off with some fog and ends with 4 rubies. We have an interview with the mine owner Zeke, where he shows us how to clean and sort rocks to find the gems. I walk around the grounds and show you the layout of the mine, how to process the buckets of mud you dig, we end the night with a delicious dinner and some metal detecting... with a big find.
