Dive into the turmoil rocking the Georgia GOP in 2025 as Chairman Josh McKoon faces backlash over unchecked power and a controversial early Trump endorsement during the May primary. Despite party rules against pre-primary endorsements, McKoon claimed to have pushed the vote after collecting $25K from each candidate, sparking ethics and election manipulation debates. Leaked vote photos fuel social media fire, while McKoon eyes using the breach to target rival David Cross. Meanwhile, Cobb County’s GOP, led by Salleigh Grubbs, risks turning blue amid vote-rigging claims and internal attacks. Calls for accountability, including replacing Karen Henshaw and Alex Koffmen, grow loud.
Josh McKoon makes comments that he can walk his way out of. We know that the set up of the current GOP chairman does not have to have approval to do anything as the GOP. He does not need the board approval or a second signature regardless of the dollar value. It is time to clean up the GA GOP once and for all. There was a committee for election integrity and to have an accountability rule within the party. There was a committee put together to fix the incorporation of the GA GOP.
Karen Henshaw would be out of a job. Alex Koffmen would be out of a job. Offer Catherine Bernar as the legal representation of the GA GOP. It should be a board vote.
President Trump was on the ballot while the primary was going on in May. We know that Trump will be the nominee and has pretty much secured the nomination by the time the primary election takes place. The GA GOP has a state committee, there was a motion from the floor to endorse Trump before the primary was over. Now the rules of the party are to not endorse during a primary. The question comes up to the chairman. Josh says that the state committee can do what they want, this is behind closed doors and information is not supposed to be released. Recently Josh has said that he tried to endorse Trump early in the campaign, which is far from the truth. The GA GOP asked every candidate on the ballot for a donation, the party does not have a ballot access fee. The ask was for a $25K donation, every candidate paid the $25K. The question was up for the GA GOP to endorse Donald Trump before the end of the primary. There was concern that what does that say to the candidates that we took their money and endorsed a candidate before the primary. The issue was if it was ethical or election manipulation, etc not whether this was Trump county. The vote was taken to endorse Trump before the end of the primary. People started taking pictures of the vote. It is already making a round on social media again. The no votes were not going against the party rule, and not sending a bad message to the other candidates in the party and having the GA GOP manipulate the voters before the primary.
Now go check the minutes. A motion was made to seal the vote. Josh is planning to use this unauthorized release of the vote to campaign against his opponent David Cross.
Cobb county GA is one of the largest counties in the United STates and used to be ruby red republican. In the four years that Salleigh Grubbs has been chairman of the county, it has gone downhill very badly. We are looking at Cobb county becoming the next Fulton county. Salleigh is trying to manipulate the vote to have a chair that would guarantee the county vote in a block at the state convention. Salleigh and Debbie Dooley are attacking the chair candidate that worked so hard for her precinct.
