A man has been arrested over the death of a sailor in the North Sea, following a collision between a tanker and a cargo vessel.

The 59-year-old man was held on suspicion of gross negligence manslaughter in connection with the collision between the US military chartered tanker and a cargo ship on Monday.

At least one person died in the incident.
