Marco Rubio: "Today we made an offer that the Ukrainians have accepted, which is to enter into a ceasefire and immediate negotiations to end this conflict in a lasting and sustainable way, taking into account their interests, their security, and their ability to prosper as a nation.

I personally want to thank—we both want to thank—the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, His Majesty, for hosting us, for making this possible. They have been instrumental in this process, and we are very grateful to them for having us here today. Hopefully, we will bring this offer to the Russians. And we hope they will say yes, that they will accept peace. The ball is now in their court.

But again, the president's goal here is the number one priority above everything else. He wants the war to end. And I believe today Ukraine has taken a concrete step in that direction. We hope the Russians will reciprocate."
