18 & 65: Can a Filipina's Love Survive the Ultimate Age Gap?

I'm a 22-year-old Filipina with an American husband in his 40's, and despite our age gap, our relationship seems to work. That said, some friend of ours (also a Filipina and a foreigner) recently got separated after 6 years of marriage, and they had a 40+ year age gap between them. Their separation caused us to question if certain age gaps just can't work, or if extra cautionary steps are necessary to make them work.
