Hacker Group Dark Storm Claims Responsibility for DDoS Attack on X

Elon Musk has confirmed that Hacker Group Dark Storm was behind the massive DDoS attack on X (formerly Twitter), which led to major outages across the platform. The cyberattack, which Musk described as “done with a lot of resources,” sparked concerns over whether a nation-state or a coordinated hacker group was involved.

According to cybersecurity experts, Dark Storm is a pro-Palestinian hacker collective known for targeting the U.S., Israel, Ukraine, and the UAE. Reports suggest that IP addresses linked to the attack originated from Ukraine, but experts warn that hackers often use proxies to hide their true location.

The attack caused multiple service disruptions throughout the day, peaking at over 40,000 outage reports. While X has since recovered, questions remain: Was this just a hacker group, or is a larger force at play?
