03.09.25 The Right Kind of Church - The Church At Pergamum

Continuing the message series called “The Right Kind of Church.”  This series will examine the seven churches listed in Revelation 2-3.  Jesus writes each church a letter that serves as a report card or performance review.  This week we highlight the church at Pergamum.  This is a church where most people remained faithful to Christ in spite of intense persecution.  But some began to compromise their faith  and participate in festivals that involved worshiping other gods and participating in immoral practices.  We too face the temptation to compromise our faith by pleasing Christ on the one hand and pleasing our non-Christian friends on the other hand.  We’ll examine the details from Revelation 2:12-17.
