Did Crone & Cook Lie? Debunking The Claim Of Ancient Inscription

The Islamic Awareness Website claims that Crone and Cook purposely left one inscription out of their research to enhance their claim that the term "Islam" did not appear until the 8th century.

Today we're looking at their claim. Surprisingly enough, this inscription has been on their website for a quarter of a century, yet upon closer inspection, it appears that the most important word in their claim was not rendered correctly. Or was it?

We'll appreciate your feedback on this puzzling inscription, as the word Islam does not seem to appear and experts mis transliterated, or at least it appears so.
