Company Profits Always Come Before Customer Satisfaction

The most important thing to any company or corporation is money. Profits are the bottom line, with customer service and satisfaction being ranked somewhere just above employee satisfaction, but just below finding new ways to cut corners.

The sneakiest thing most producers do, is to change both the label and shape of an item that sells by volume, but keep the size consistent.

By that, as shown in the video, if you add a divot to the bottom to a peanut butter container, the container itself will look big, but you can put less peanut butter inside.

Over the course of a million units, you’re making (and banking) extra money.

The reason I state all this obvious stuff, is because my wife didn’t know it was a common practice.

She became frustrated while trying to get the remnants of applesauce out of a container.

When I explained why it had ridges, she didn’t buy into it.

So, I’m putting it out there to the world via this video: containers don’t have ridges just to make it impossible to get all the product out, that’s just a bonus for any company.

No, the reason is money.

Profit is king, the customer is a peasant.
