New Strategy for THUNDERBOLTS* Mimics the Classic MCU

The promotion material for Thunderbolts* really feels like Marvel Studios is trying something new when comparing it to previous movies in the franchise.

Since Avengers Endgame Marvel has been struggling with many of their films, losing hundreds of millions in the process. It’s unclear what can be done to dig them out of the mess they’re in, but the upcoming Marvel Cinematic Universe, MCU, film appears to be going back to the roots of the franchise. This movie feels like it’s different that other Marvel movies of late. For too long Disney and Marvel seemed to have templatized their movies with all of them feeling the same and audiences growing board. It’s possible Thunderbolts* will harken back to the days of phase 1&2 of the MCU when the movies had an identity.
