USA ‘to cease all future military exercises in Europe’

The U.S. has informed allies it will not participate in future military exercises in Europe beyond those already scheduled, marking another shift in Donald Trump’s approach to NATO.

The move forces NATO countries to plan exercises without U.S. military involvement.

Trump has repeatedly criticized NATO members for not meeting the 2% GDP defense spending target and warned that the U.S. may not defend those who fail to pay their “fair share.”

Reports indicate he may prioritize military cooperation with higher-spending members and is considering relocating U.S. troops from Germany to Hungary.

Meanwhile, Ukraine faces increased U.S. pressure, with military aid and intelligence sharing suspended, The Telegraph has reported.

President Volodymyr Zelensky has reaffirmed Ukraine’s commitment to peace talks but has yet to meet Trump since their strained White House meeting.
