Dark Souls Remastered | Defeating the three Moonlight Butterflies in Crystal Cave on NG+1

There are three Moonlight Butterflies here. They don't attack unless you attack them. They don't drop anything and award 800 souls each (on NG+1). They're a waste of time. From what I read of the lore, the main intent of having them here at all is to show that the Moonlight Butterfly has a connection to Seath the Scaleless.

I used a Dragonslayer Greatbow x5 and Dragonslayer Arrows to defeat them. Considering the arrows cost 500 souls each from the blacksmith in Anor Londo, it wasn't worth it for me. The first took 8 hits, the second 10 (I missed one), and the third also 10 (I missed 2).

They *do not* drop the Soul of the Moonlight Butterfly, which can only be obtained from defeating the Moonlight Butterfly boss and then either used for souls or to trade in for a Moonlight Butterfly Horn.
