Faith vs. Superstition: Examining the Real Leap of Belief

A commenter recently responded to my video short If We Confess Our Sins with the statement:
"May we be free of superstition, its deceits, and its deceivers."
I welcomed the discussion and responded:
"Which superstition do you refer to? That of the big bang? That man evolved from microbes? That the earth was seeded by crystal aliens? It takes so much more faith to believe the stories of evolutionary science so-called, than to believe the Word of the One whose death, burial, and resurrection is the most well-documented event in history. Thanks for giving me the opportunity to share this with you!"
This interaction highlights a fundamental question in our culture today: what truly requires more faith—Christianity or the various secular explanations for the universe and human existence? Many critics of Christianity dismiss belief in God as mere superstition, while embracing scientific theories that require an even greater leap of faith.
