The feud between Alex Pereira and Merle Christine has been in motion since their breakup in 2024. It was then made public when Pereira accused Merle of lying to him, specifically accusing her of having been married to another man during their relationship. The Brazilian fighter claimed he had spoken with her supposed husband and obtained evidence of her dishonesty. Additionally, he alleged that Merle had physically attacked him, stating, 'I have a video of her attacking me'.
Merle, however, debated on Pereira’s claims, clarifying that she was previously married, and had been separated much before her relationship with the UFC fighter. She also asserted that she was the one who ended the relationship contrary to what Pereira claimed.
