Trump Dismisses SNL’s Mockery, Reaffirms Musk and Rubio’s ‘Great Relationship’

D.C. (Dist. of Criminals), March 9, 2025 — President Donald Trump doubled down on his support for Elon Musk and Secretary of State Marco Rubio, dismissing reports of tension between them after Saturday Night Live (SNL) mocked their supposed Oval Office clash in its latest skit.

The New York Times recently claimed that a heated cabinet meeting erupted into a shouting match between Musk and Rubio, with Transportation Secretary Sean Duffy allegedly complaining that DOGE staffers were interfering with air traffic control operations.

Trump, however, slammed the report as false, taking to Truth Social to say:

“ELON AND MARCO HAVE A GREAT RELATIONSHIP. ANY STATEMENT OTHER THAN THAT IS FAKE NEWS!!! DJT”

During a press conference earlier in the week, Trump dismissed a reporter’s question about Musk and Rubio’s dynamic, calling them a “troublemaker.” The SNL skit, which attempted to parody the meeting, portrayed a chaotic scene in which the Musk character made glitchy, robotic movements, Rubio was mocked as “short and gay,” and the Trump character joked about former staffers writing books about him.

Despite SNL’s effort to lampoon the situation, Trump reiterated that Rubio is “doing a great job” and that Musk remains a crucial ally in his administration.

With Musk continuing to shake up government spending, expose fraudulent contracts, and cut wasteful bureaucracy, his influence has rattled establishment figures, particularly those who benefited from decades of unchecked spending.

While the media attempts to spin division, Trump made it clear that Musk and Rubio remain aligned in their mission to restore American strength—despite the late-night comedy show’s best efforts to mock them.
