Nearly 200 dead as Syria government fighters clash with Assad loyalists

In Syria, more than 200 people have been killed within two days of fighting between the new government's security forces and gunmen loyal to former leader, Bashar al-Assad.

The violence began Thursday, when a Syrian police patrol was ambushed.
