Avro CF-105 Arrow, Canadian pride

Few people outside Canada have heard of the Avro CF-105 Arrow, a source of national pride. It was an exceptional aircraft—fast, advanced, and ahead of its time.
So why was it canceled? Officially, due to high costs. Unofficially, because it was too much of a threat to U.S. dominance.
