Firstborn (1984) - Domestic Violence Finale

The following ripped clip is the climactic finale of one of the most underrated classics of the 1980's: "Firstborn".

2 years after the 1982 family favorite "Tootsie", Terri Garr plays Wendy, a divorced single mother of 2 boys, Jake and Brian.

Before the 1987 iconic classic "Robocop", Peter Weller plays Sam: Wendy's boyfriend who ends up living with her and her 2 sons.

Eventually, Sam's residency becomes a turn for the worst for the 3 members of the family because not only is it later found out that Sam is a cocaine dealer, not only does he eventually get Wendy hooked to Cocaine and certain activities that turns her into a negligent mother, but Sam also becomes very physically abusive to the 2 sons to the point where the courageous decision has to be made by the mother to get Sam out of the house to save and restore her family, even if it has to lead to a major fight, henceforth this clip.

The youngest son, Brian, is played by Cory Haim which, by the way, is his first film.

Even if they do not appear in this clip, not only does Sarah Jessica Parker appear in this film as the girlfriend of the older brother Jake, but also Robert Downey Jr. is in this film as one of Jake's closest friends.

This was Sarah Jessica Parker's performance right before co-starring in another absolute favorite 1984 classic "Footloose".

This is a film that has never been spoken of by any of the cast members in any interviews throughout their entire careers and lives.

Terri Garr brought up this film in a 1984 interview as a small innuendo, but that was it.

Speaking of Terri Garr, I dedicate this clip to Ms. Terri Garr, in honor of her recent passing. May her beautiful soul live on for all Eternity.

Regardless of the subject matter, if you enjoy this clip, I highly recommend "Firstborn".
