The title of this episode is inspired by the chorus of the song Pink Houses, from the 1983 album Uh-huh, by artist John Cougar Mellencamp. While the in the chorus of the song is "Ain't that America" the word America has been switched for Galbadia to better relate to FF8. This is also due to the fact that the village of Winhill is located in Galbadia.
