Mary: Hated by Satan, favoured by God.

Mary was favoured by God and chosen to be the mother of Jesus, so she was an automatic target for Satan’s hate. But her total obedience and submission to God was something that Satan despised. That Mary was a virgin and remained pure and lived a holy life is abhorrent to Satan and the demons.

When we live in obedience to God, Satan will do his best to attack and tempt us. It is something that he cannot stand, and the more we submit to God and live for Jesus Christ, the more we will be attacked by Satan. He will try to put anything in our way to lead us away from God, so we must always keep our eyes on God.

Satan has tried since the Garden of Eden to get people to disobey God and to distort what God created, and this includes sex. What God meant to be a beautiful thing between a husband and his wife, Satan tempted humanity to perform all kinds of sexual immorality. When someone vows to live a modest and pure life, Satan will do what he can to entice them to sin.

God is our refuge and strength. We can do anything through Christ who lives in us.

“My soul exalts the Lord,
And my spirit has rejoiced in God my Savior.
For He has had regard for the humble state of His bond-servant;
For behold, from now on all generations will call me blessed.””

“So whoever will humble himself like this child, he is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven.”

“Let no one look down on your youthfulness, but rather in speech, conduct, love, faith, and purity, show yourself an example of those who believe.”

“And the people said to Joshua, “We will serve the LORD our God and obey His voice.”

Joshua 24: 24

God bless you.
