Sports analyst shuts down The View hosts, assert Trump has ‘mandate’

While sitting down for an interview with ABC’s ‘The View’, Mr Smith was questioned about United States President Donald Trump.
Ms Behar blasted President Trump and his “cronies” for touting their election win as a “landslide”.
“He’s been going around with his cronies touting his so-called landslide and blowout win, but he won the popular vote by 1.5 per cent, one of the smallest ever, and he won the general election by less than 50 per cent so what kind of mandate is this really?” Ms Behar asked.

Mr Smith clapped back at Ms Behar’s remarks saying he is not a “supporter of Trump”, but is a supporter of “truth”.

“He won every swing state, he increased in terms of his voter turnout in his favour from the standpoint of Blacks, Latinos and young voters, 89 per cent of the counties shifted to the right, that’s a mandate,” Mr Smith said.
