Why Bayern Munich will be banned from wearing red home kit if they reach Champions League final

Bayern will not be allowed to wear their traditional colours if they do go on to reach the final.

As reported by the Daily Mail and a number of other outlets, the 33-time German champions have been banned from wearing their home kit in the Champions League by UEFA.

Though they have been wearing it as normal in the Bundesliga, it's claimed that the shirt's dark numbers on the jersey "do not offer enough contrast for viewers".

Violating visibility regulations, it's been claimed that UEFA have asked Bayern to change their numbers and font to white in order to abide by the rules.
