How Do We Avoid the Trap of Religious Familiarity?

Today we’re talking about a trap that many Christians fall into—religious familiarity.

It’s easy to get caught up in knowing about God without truly knowing Him. So, how do we avoid this trap and make sure we’re genuinely following Christ?


In John 7:5, we read, 'For neither did his brethren believe in him.' This was a clear example of people who knew Jesus intimately, but their familiarity led them to reject Him. They were too close to see Him for who He really was. And this can happen to us today, especially if we’ve been raised in church or surrounded by the Gospel.
