The 16th Match of Women’s Premier League 2025 was played between Mumbai Indians Women and UP Warriorz Women at Bharat Ratna Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee Ekana Cricket Stadium Lucknow on 6th March, 2025. In this match Mumbai Indians Women defeated UP Warriorz Women by 6 wickets. In this match Mumbai Indians Women won the toss and opted to bowl first.
UP Warriorz Women while batting first scored 150 runs for the loss of 9 wickets in 20 overs and gave target of 151 runs to Mumbai Indians Women to win. In reply Mumbai Indians Women scored 154 runs for the loss of 4 wickets in 18.3 overs and won the match by 6 wickets.
UP Warriorz Women batted superbly and their openers added 74 runs for the first wicket. Grace Harris was first to go after scoring 28 runs from 25 balls hitting 3 fours and 1 six. Georgia Voll top scored with 55 runs from 33 balls hitting 12 fours. Deepti Sharma contributed 27 runs from 25 ballls and Sophie Ecclestone made 16 runs.
Amella Kar bowled superbly and took 5 wickets.Two wickets were taken by Hayley Matthews. one wicket each was taken by Nat-Sciver-Brunt and Parunika Sisodia.
In reply MIW made 154 runs for 4 wickets in 20 overs and won the match by 6 wickets. Amella Kar was first to go caught by Grace Harris of the bowling of Chinelle Henry after scoring 10 runs only. Then Hayley Matthews with Nat Sciver-Brunt added 92 runs for the second wicket and ensured MIW vicritory. Nat Sciver-Brunt made 37 runs from 23 balls hitting 7 fours. Hayley Mattews played a gem of innings and top scored with 68 runs from 46 balls hitting 8 runs and 2 sixes.Harmanpreet Kaur scored 4 runs only from 9 balls.
Amanjot Kaur remained not out on 12 runs and Yastika Bhatia made not out on 10 runs and won the match for MIW.Hayley Matthews was adjudged the Player of the Match.
