Rep. Abe Hamadeh announces bill mandating English-only federal ballots

Representative Abe Hamadeh (R-AZ) says his new bill, the VOTE Act, would make English the only language on federal election ballots and ban federal funding to states that issue federal ballots in multiple languages. “We have to make sure we have one common language and we vote in a uniform standard which is the English language. It shouldn’t be too controversial,” he says.
