New York Offers to Hire Federal Workers Fired by DOGE: ‘They Know Nothing’

New York Governor Kathy Hochul has launched a bold advertising campaign
targeting federal employees who lost their jobs through Elon Musk’s
Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE). The ads, displayed in Washington D C ’s Union Station
and New York City’s Moynihan train stations, feature the Statue of Liberty
with the message: “DOGE said you’re fired? We say you’re hired! New York wants you!”
The campaign directs viewers to the New York state government website,
which currently lists nearly two thousand open positions. This recruitment effort comes
amid growing tensions between state leaders and the Trump administration over
federal workforce reductions implemented by DOGE, the efficiency initiative led by
tech billionaire Elon Musk.
